I was apprehensive about investing in the new Wim Hof Method Fundamentals Course. Did I really need it?
After all, I enrolled in the original 10-week Wim Hof Method course over a year ago and have been following it almost every day since then.
What more could I really get out of another breathing course?
It turns out:

I would go as far as to say that, if you’re strapped for cash, you don’t actually need to purchase the original 10-week course. You can piece the information together thanks to Wim being very open with his philosophies.
But the new Wim Hof Method Fundamentals course is absolutely worth the price tag and 1,000 x more.
I’m only 2 weeks into the Wim Hof Fundamentals course and I am already calling it the best purchase I’ve ever made.
The course launched right when I needed it, right when I was more stressed than ever before, so I have been able to put it to the test.
And here are my thoughts.
Wim Hof Method Fundamentals Review (Weeks 1 & 2)
This Wim Hof Method Fundamentals review will give you a run-down of the first 2 weeks of the 10-week course.
We’ll start with a quick overview but if you really want to see all the nuts and bolts and goodies, go check out the course information to get a better idea of what you’re getting.
We’ll look at:
- Course content
We won’t look at giving away the whole course for free.
Firstly, it’s impossible.
The Wim Hof Fundamentals course has it’s value in the content as you consume it. I cannot replicate that.
Secondly, it’s theft.
I’ve seen so many people raving about how the Wim Hof Method changed their lives for the better.
People have cured depression, lost weight, improved their relationships, cured physical ailments, and become happier and healthier than ever before.
And then I’ve seen so many ungrateful thieves congregating in places like Reddit asking for people who actually invested in the course to PM them and give them the files for free.
That’s some bad karma and if that’s where your mind is, stop reading this review now.
We’re here on this planet to better ourselves, help other people, and reward value with value.
Now let’s plunge into the Wim Hof Method Fundamentals review.
Wim Hof Method Fundamentals Overview
The first thing you notice when looking at the spec sheet for the Wim Hof Fundamentals is how comprehensive it is.
I thought the original course was fantastic value for money.
But the awesome people over at Innerfire (Wim’s company) obviously used that course and the testimonials as a testing ground for building an even better course. And they really have achieved that.

The new 10-week Wim Hof Method Fundamentals course includes:
- Group classes
- All level exercises
- Cold exposure exercises
- Professional yoga teacher
- Wim Hof breathing exercises
- Wim Hof power breathing exercises
- Theme-based homework sheet exercises
- One-on-one guided audio breathing exercises
So you can see there’s a lot there.
The Fundamentals course has 42 lessons and is 13 and a half hours long in total.
But numbers don’t even tell 1% of the story.
Wim Hof Method Fundamentals Course Content
Okay, this is really exciting.
Let’s get into the number one reason I purchased the Wim Hof Fundamentals course even though I already had the original.
I was curious about the themed content.
The original course just becomes progressively more difficult as the weeks progress.
This new course still does that but it also makes each week a theme.
Each week shows you a different area of your life that the Wim Hof Method will improve.
The weekly themes are broken down like this:
- Week 1 = Going Deep
- Week 2 = Stress Control
- Week 3 = Energy Management
- Week 4 = Inflammation
- Week 5 = Endurance
- Week 6 = Longevity
- Week 7 = Under Pressure
- Week 8 = Spirituality
- Week 9 = Creativity
- Week 10 = Life Adventure
Come on, you’re a child at heart just like me, aren’t you?
Doesn’t that list just make you insanely curious?
They all sound great to me but I was most intrigued by Life Adventure (what does that mean?), Creativity, Longevity, Energy Management, and Stress Control.
I’m currently on week 2 and I really wish I could skip ahead to see what’s in the rest of the course but I can’t.
Here’s where Wim and his team are really clever.
They’ve built in gradual progression in order to make this course fantastic for beginners (though I’m advanced, I’m still getting tons out of it) but they don’t want you skipping ahead before you’re ready.
They want you to follow the course properly and truly get all the value you can out of each week.
So the weeks ahead are locked!
I love stuff like that.
So you have a theme for each week and the weekly syllabus is broken down like this:
- 30-minute 1-on-1 guided breathing audio session
- 1-hour group lesson
You follow along with the class at the beginning of the week, Wim answers all the common (and not so common questions), you feel like you’re part of a community (don’t underestimate how powerful that is), and then you have some smaller videos to follow along during the week, a homework assignment, and a daily guided audio.
The Wim Hof Method Guided Audio
For me the value is in the 1-on-1 guided audio.
Hands down, every single time I do the breathing with Wim alongside me, it is magical.
Even though I know how to do the method, Wim makes sure I’m doing it properly.
It’s easier to slack off when you’re on your own.
But when someone is pushing you in your ear and telling you it’s okay to keep going, you put in the effort and you are rewarded.
During my first 1-on-1, I started crying and laughing.
I’ve always felt great doing the Wim Hof Method but this was the first time I’ve pushed myself that far.
I felt like I was extremely high on the most wonderful drug.
My hands vibrated like crazy, the skin on my face tingled, beautiful blue lights exploded across my vision, and my head was so light I felt like it was going to float me up into the air.
I felt pure adrenaline and endorphins and dopamine bursting through my body.
So I cried and laughed and my body shook.
I had an amazing day.
Then the next day the same thing happened again.
Even though I paid for the course, it felt like the most wonderful gift I have ever received.
I’ve had problems with addiction in the past. As anyone who has struggled with that knows, the lack of “being high” can make you very sad some days.
But now I can get high on my own supply whenever I want!
And it’s all natural, man. It’s all good for you!
Wim Hof Method Yoga Course
In addition to some seriously therapeutic breathing and cold therapy, the Wim Hof Method Fundamentals course is also its own yoga course.
Wim and his team hired a professional yoga teacher to lead the video classes.
I was so happy to discover this because I was literally about to buy a dedicated yoga course (one that only had four 1-hour videos for almost the same price as this course) when I saw the new Fundamentals course launched.
So while most people will buy Wim’s course for the life-changing breathing techniques (at least I think they’re life-changing), it’s a real nice added bonus that the course also functions as a legitimate yoga course too. Real value for money.
Wim Hof Method Production Value
I rarely care if something has great production value or not.
As long as the information works, who cares what the packaging looks like?
But I totally changed my mind when I saw the production value of every single video and the course platform itself.
The production is insanely good.
If you ever decide to create your own video course or product (something I’m in the process of doing with a business partner) you have to study the Wim Hof Method Fundamentals course.
Wim’s team knew the original 10-week course had no fancy bells and whistles. And they seriously remedied that with the new Wim Hof Fundamentals course.
The course looks and feels amazing.
This translates to making the course more enjoyable and making it easier to adhere to it every day.
Wim Hof Method Effect On Stress & Sickness: My Story
So I’ve had a pretty rough couple of months.
I like to be super honest and open whenever I write on this site.
I’ve hit publish on things that would make most people embarrassed (like going public with my IBS).
But I’m not ready to talk about the last couple of months.
Those close to me know what’s been going on. And I’m going to keep it to a small inner circle selection until the distant future.
You don’t need to know exactly what’s been eating me from the inside out.
I’m not special.
We all go through hard times and it’s highly likely that there is someone reading this now who is having a harder time than me.
All you need to know is that I’ve been about as stressed as I could be without receiving a terminal illness diagnosis or losing someone I love.
I haven’t been ill for a long time (maybe a year now).
I attribute that to juicing and regular Wim Hof breathing.
But the stress finally beat me down.
I took a few days off from Wim Hof breathing and I think my immune system finally gave in.
I got a nasty cold.
All this phlegm clogged up my nose and head and throat.
I couldn’t breathe through my nose at all.
I couldn’t sleep because I was so stuffy.
And I had a horrible rasping cough and my throat felt like I had swallowed a conker shell.
The last thing I wanted to do was pick up the Wim Hof Method and get back into it.
I literally didn’t think I had the energy to do the exercises. My whole body ached, I had a fever, and I didn’t even want to walk.
But I logged into my Wim Hof Method Fundamentals dashboard and saw that the “Stress Control” week had been unlocked.
Well, I was stressed out of my eyeballs.
It was worth a shot even if I was ill.
I performed the breathing.
It was difficult.
It made me sweat.
I soaked the entire bed in my sweat.
But something miraculous happened.
My sinuses cleared.
I went from breathing painfully through my mouth and having my nose completely blocked to being able to breathe 90% clearly through both nostrils.
My aches went down.
I felt happy. Insanely happy.
I felt optimistic. I felt like dancing and singing a song.
After a brisk cold shower, I almost felt completely normal.
I was convinced this cold would last at least 10 days.
You know how you can tell a cold is going to completely wipe you out?
I knew this was a bad one.
But the next day, I performed the breathing again and I really felt better then.
It wasn’t a complete recovery.
I still had a cold.
But I had my mind back. My stress was gone. I was happy. I could breathe. And I didn’t feel nearly as shitty as I would have without the breathing.
People don’t believe me until they try it themselves. But Wim is 100% the real deal.
He told me he would help me with stress and he did. And he also helped me recover from a physical illness on top of that!
Those are my thoughts about the Wim Hof Fundamentals so far.
I could talk about this for ages but those are my thoughts in a nut shell.
It’s been a fantastic opening 2 weeks.
I’m so excited and can’t wait to see what’s left in store.
