How to Write a Personal Statement for Elite Universities (Skillshare Course)

Skillshare is a real cool site. You’ll end up watching a lot more courses when you’re inside – not just my one.

A lot of the courses are super legit. They’re taught by New York Times bestselling authors, famous YouTubers, big name graphic designers, and the Skillshare courses cover a bunch of cool stuff.

You can learn anything from creative writing and ink drawing to DSLR photography and productivity systems.

Skillshare is a fantastic service.

I was quite honoured when Skillshare approached me and asked me to make a course.

I’m just one dude with this tiny little website. A lot of the other instructors are big names and have a lot of presentation skill experience.

So even though I can’t rival the production value of some of the big boys, I did put a lot of effort into making this course look and feel as legit as possible.

I wanted this course to feel like it was worth paying the membership price alone (even though you can get it free through this link).

So I invested in a top-of-the-line camera and microphone. is skillshare worth it review

I got some great editing software and learnt how to use it.

And I spent a lot of time refining the syllabus so the course could have the widest applicability and appeal.

I can’t give super specific advice because the audience will differ drastically from person to person, but the advice in the course does the best job possible of advising you without knowing your specific situation.

I even filmed this course three separate times!

But third time turned out to be a charm.

I’m super happy with how it turned out and think it will help a lot of people who are struggling with writing their personal statements.
