I’ve done my part to spread the word about Viktor Frankl’s great work Man’s Search for Meaning.
I wrote my first book review in 2016, which led to:
- People emailing me every week thanking me for turning them onto the work
- People ripping off my book review and claiming my words as their own
- More people searching for Man’s Search for Meaning on Google
- People translating my book review into many different languages
- Me meeting one of my best friends thanks to the work
I’ve been sore about people ripping off my work before. You can check the dates of posts by me and then compare them to posts about the same subject by some relatively big online names and you’ll see who was reading who.
But I don’t mind as much with my takeaways from Man’s Search for Meaning. That book is a gift. It changed my life. When people ask me what my favourite book is, I always say: Man’s Search for Meaning. So however people come to the work is a-okay by me – the important thing is more people reading Viktor Frankl.
I also did a 45-minute podcast on Man’s Search for Meaning. And I still haven’t even scratched the surface of my response to this iconic work.
Here’s a 2-minute video in a series of super short “intro” type videos for the books that changed my life.
