The Jekyll and Hyde Podcast

April 23, 2020 By Ben McEvoy

Today we’re talking about one of my top three favourite novellas of all time: Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. For the record, my other favourite novellas are Heart of Darkness and The Old Man and the Sea, both of which we’ll deal with in a future episode of the show.

We’re talking about addiction, Freud, Nazi Germany, and the shadow.

And also…

A question for students:

Do you find this kind of content useful for exam revision? Or would a more typical lecture focusing on quotes and themes be more useful?

I know coronavirus has thrown a spanner in the works of education right now, so let me know what’s going on too. How are you dealing with that right now?

You can also get the book here:
