How to Prepare for the Oxford and Cambridge English Interview

November 22, 2020 By Ben McEvoy

The Oxbridge English Interview Masterclass is now open for enrolment.

It’s the best course anywhere on interview preparation for Oxford and Cambridge University, particularly if you’re studying English Language and Literature (indeed, any of the Humanities).

You’ll learn how to stand out from the crowd.

What to do, what not to do, and some very unintuitive but unique advice.

How to Prepare for the Oxford and Cambridge English Interview

Students have found the ELAT Masterclass to be immensely helpful in making them more confident and tangibly boosting the quality of their answers.

Once you get through the entrance exam, the interview is that last hurdle.

Use code BLACKFRIDAY for 40% off until this weekend.

What’s involved in the Oxbridge English Interview Masterclass:

  • How you can construct an interview prep study schedule
  • How to structure your week leading up to the interviews
  • How to expand and explain your personal statement
  • How to practice interviews whatever you situation
  • Hacks for sounding knowledgeable in interview
  • How to improve your chances at interview
  • How to do close analysis of unseen texts
  • How to replace anxiety with confidence
  • How to prepare for online interviews
  • How to direct your reading
  • How to set yourself apart
  • And much more

Check out the syllabus here.

There’s even an interactive module that you can use to practice what you might say to potential interview questions.

There are also modules on brainstorming a killer interview prep schedule together, doing live unseen extract analyses, breathing and posture tips, and even a checklist of things to prepare right before you go into an online interview specifically.

And I’m keeping enrolment limited to only a few students (~40-50 max) for two reasons:

  1. I’m quite hands-on and responsive. If you ask me what books you should be exploring or where you might direct your reading so you don’t waste time in the run-up, I will help you – these answers are worth enrolment in the course alone, to be honest, as many students have credited just these responses at getting them in.
  2. We don’t want everyone knowing the “secrets”, do we?

To date, I’ve helped hundreds of students from all backgrounds and for all subjects get into highly competitive programs at Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, MIT, York, Berkley, Imperial College, Stanford, King’s College, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Columbia, McGill, Warwick, and many more.

I know the course might be considered expensive – although it’s massively underpriced both by educational industry standards (look at how much you’re typically required to spend for educational courses of any kind) and by the standards of the value it delivers.

The courses should be a lot more expensive. Considering students email me every day to say I got them into PhD programs and such, it’s severely underpriced.

If the price changes in the near future, it will go up. But, in the meantime, I am running a Black Friday sale so be sure to use the coupon before it expires.

The coupon code is BLACKFRIDAY applied at checkout for 40% off (expires this weekend).

I also have free advice all over the place. There are articles and videos where I talk about the Oxford English Interview.

Also, let me know…

What is the number one question you have about the Oxford or Cambridge interview process?

I will add the answer to the course.
