Reading Shakespeare Chronologically: The Journey Begins (Video)

July 13, 2020 By Ben McEvoy

I’ll be vlogging my journey reading Shakespeare chronologically in a year.

There will be meta-commentary videos like this one along the way:

There will also be long lectures, deep dives into each play, mini-documentaries, attempts to break specific scenes and language and characters and themes apart.

I also have a secret project in store for those who want to be really hardcore when it comes to getting the most out of Shakespeare. More on that soon!

In the meantime, if you want to join me and believe that Henry VI Part One comes first in a chronological reading of Shakespeare, I recommend you three invaluable resources:

  • The Arden edition of the play
  • The David Tennant/Arkangel audio play (free Audible credit here)
