Test-Boosting Tasty Sauce Steak Recipe

August 16, 2020 By Ben McEvoy

Forget Tim Ferriss’ Sexy Time Steak.

I’ve tried that steak recipe maybe 20 times now, and I’ve never been overly impressed (sorry, Tim).

But through some trial and error during lockdown, plus finding a world class butcher that provides decadent cuts of New Zealand Wagyu and Reserve steak sirloins, I’ve managed to crack the steak secret code.

Every guy likes to say his steak is the best.

Cooking steak is manly.

Tongs.

Heat.

Meat.

The women love it.

But most guys are deluding themselves.

Their steak game is subpar, and their women begrudgingly chew through their tough tasteless meat with a sad fake smile on their face.

“Why can’t my guy grill us up a decent steak?” They wonder to themselves. “A real man cooks steak.”

They sigh and resign themselves to a life of low quality meat until the inevitable happens.

Don’t let it happen to you.

Make the following steak recipe and not only will your woman fall deeply in love with you, you’ll also add a hundred pounds to your bench press overnight, and immediately get the balls to swagger into your nearest casino and beat the mob at baccarat.

Thank me later.

Test-Boosting Tasty Sauce Steak Recipe

The ingredients needed for this recipe are really specific. Using certain Japanese brands WILL make the steak better than not.

For example, using British Worcester sauce instead of the Bulldog Japanese variety is a huge mistake and will negatively affect your steak.

Using grated ginger and freshly chopped garlic is far superior to anything that comes in a pot or tube.

So I’ve put links to the specific brands I recommend where possible.

Ingredients:

  • Garlic (preferably smoked)
  • Ginger
  • Mirin/sake
  • Soy sauce
  • Japanese Worcester sauce
  • Sugar
  • Honey
  • Dijon mustard
  • Yakisoba sauce
  • Maldon sea salt
  • Pepper
  • Sirloin steak (preferably Wagyu)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Rapeseed oil
  • Butter
  • Sticky white Japanese rice

Steak Prep:

  • Take the steak out of the fridge at least an hour before cooking. If it’s frozen, defrost the night before.
  • Season both sides liberally with Maldon sea salt and a little pepper.

Tasty Sauce Prep:

In a bowl mix these ingredients together (serves 2):

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 2-3 tbsp Worcester sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
  • Dash of freshly chopped garlic
  • Couple of pinches of freshly grated fresh
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp yakisoba sauce

Hold some chopped garlic and grated ginger back, and put the bowl with the mixed ingredients aside for a moment.

Time to cook that steak!

  1. Heat the frying pan on high
  2. After 1-2 minutes, drizzle rapeseed oil, and keeping heating on high
  3. After 1-2 minutes, put steaks in pan (away from you to avoid oil splash back)
  4. Leave the steaks alone for 1 minute (turn that extractor fan on and open a window – gonna get smoky!)
  5. Use tongs to flip the steaks and give the other side 1 minute of high heat.
  6. Turn the heat to medium and wait another 1 minute.
  7. Whilst steaks sizzle, drop liberal amounts of butter, garlic, and ginger onto them, followed by the sauce.
  8. Turn steaks over and let them fry for another minute.
  9. Turn heat off, slice the steaks up real nice, and plate them on top of the rice and vegetables.
  10. Time to reduce the sauce! Turn heat on high and let it boil for a minute or two, then ladle it over the steaks.
  11. Enjoy your religious experience.

Rice Prep:

  1. Wash Japanese sticky white rice 2-3x by hand.
  2. Soak rice for 30 minutes in a pot. To find out how much water is needed, fill rice up to a measuring jug and add a little less water than where the rice reaches. If the rice hits 600ml, you’ll water to use 500ml to soak it (this is a modification of sushi master Jiro’s rice recipe).
  3. Remove soaking water and replace with new water using same measurement as previous.
  4. Cover pot with lid and put on stove over high heat until it starts to boil.
  5. Once it reaches boiling point, turn heat down to small and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. After 20 minutes, turn heat off but keep lid on and let it steam for another 20 minutes.
  7. Remove lid, stir, serve, and enjoy creamy rice.
  8. Throw a fried egg on there if you like.

Make your rice and steak bowl pretty with these vegetables:

  • Beansprouts
  • Avocado
  • Chillies
  • Grated carrot (purple carrot is my favourite)
  • Lettuce
  • Jalapeños
  • Sweetcorn

And that’s how you make the Test-Boosting Tasty Sauce Steak.

You’ll feel full. You’ll sleep well. And you’ll wake up ready to lift some weights and take on the world. Repeat every day for consistent and optimal effects.
