The Q&A Show: Answering Your Questions About Books, Reading & Literature

October 23, 2020 By Ben McEvoy

Thank you to everyone who has emailed in and asked such great, nuanced questions about books, reading, and literature. I just had to do a Q&A show – first one! – because these were some really interesting questions.

Feel free to check out the timestamps below the audio player to jump to whatever questions interests you the most.

Information About Upcoming Hardcore Literature Shows

We’ve got a lot of great shows coming out soon. I wish I had more time in the day, but we’re getting there!

We’re doing the Nobel Prize Bookclub, each month addressing the works of winners like Louise Glück and Kazuo Ishiguro. We’ve just kicked off with Peter Handke.

We’re going to break down big words like Les Misérables and Anna Karenina and Atlas Shrugged.

We’ve got “souls works” like Siddhartha by Herman Hesse.

We’ll do a “Works of Revolutionary Literature” Book Club with Animal Farm (which won an overwhelming amount of votes for the next show – it’s on its way!) and The Gulag Archipelago.

We’ll be kicking off the super ambitious Shakespeare Project with the Henry Tetralogy (ugh) and Richard III (yay).

We’ll do something called Play of the Month with works by John Osborne, Ibsen, Chekhov, and Oscar Wilde.

And we’ll have more Q&A Shows, so let me know your questions!

Thank you for listening to Hardcore Literature!
